I have made this bespoke splashback for a lovely kitchen, to match the soft furnishings. It is now very much enjoyed and finishes the room nicely.

This commission for a splashback came from a lovely lady living in Colwall and it was brought together by a teapot. We talked for ages about her love of gardening. Then she made tea, using a beautiful pot, and pointed out to me the colours, celadon green and periwinkle blue. Her kitchen terracotta floor lead us towards the third colour, a deep read... She choose and picked the plants from her garden and decided how to display them. I simply "painted" them on some of the tiles. This is as much her creation as it is mine!

This kitchen had a dramatic makeover and needed something special to link the cupboards painted in Farrow & Ball Castle green to the range. The view from the window was on the Malvern Hills, we immediately knew that this was going to be the theme. In Driftwood grey, matt finish.

24 tiles, 10 x 10 cm each, inspired by and made especially for Farrow & Ball, were on display at their Ledbury shop / Open Door Designs.
Driftwood grey, with deep red and forest green.
